The following is valid as guidelines:</li>\n<li>Hypertension: 47.5-95 mg metoprolol succinate (50-100 mg metoprolol tartrate) once daily.</li>\n<li>Angina pectoris: 95-190 mg metoprolol succinate (100-200 mg metoprolol tartrate) once daily. If necessary, the dose can be combined with nitrates.</li>\n<li>Cardiac arrhythmias: 95-190 mg metoprolol succinate (100-200 mg metoprolol tartrate) once daily.</li>\n<li>Functional heart disorders with palpitations: 95 mg metoprolol succinate (100 mg metoprolol tartrate) once daily.
